We are creating a supportive, and sustainable living environment for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). This building provides accessible housing that fosters independence, social connection, and a sense of belonging, while also promoting community integration and empowerment.

1651 Richfield will foster a community where residents can interact, build relationships, and engage in social, educational, and recreational activities while still attending their existing programs, employment and established activities.  

Service Model
We believe that every resident should have the freedom to choose who provides their support services. To ensure flexibility, the following options will be available:

• Residents can hire personal support individuals or hire an outside agency to provide support, using private funds, Medicaid waivers for home-based services, intermittent CILAs, or SSI/SSDI. The level of support a resident receives will be determined by their families personal choice and will be independent of the cost of rent. 
• CCHI will engage a dedicated group of parent and family volunteers, actively contributing to the community and providing assistance where needed.
• At least one resident advisor will be available for overnight stays, offering additional support and guidance.
• A building manager will oversee maintenance and ensure the facility remains in optimal condition.
• A front desk representative will be available 24/7, providing assistance and ensuring smooth operations.
• Advanced technology will be incorporated to help residents achieve greater independence and self-sufficiency.
• An agency presence will be maintained within the building, offering a range of services that are directly billed to Medicaid.
• Involve families, caregivers, and residents in the planning and decision-making process to ensure the community meets their needs.
